If you have air brake simulation disabled then it won't affect anything. If it's enabled then you may have reduced braking performance. If your air pressure goes very low then your parking brake will engage as air pressure actually keeps brakes disengaged on trucks.
I have the ; and ' keys assigned to increasing and decreasing the retarder speed, but I have no idea how to turn the retarder on in the first place. I checked the options, but did not find anything resembling "Turn retarder on". Help would be appreciated.

I don't use any engine brake buttons in the game (because it didn't work right before the update), I just noticed that the retarder is now making an additional noise that sounds exactly like an exhaust
I tried disable auto retarder and engine break but neither work. The current solution I can find is turn on left blinkerā€¦ Itā€™s fine when Iā€™m not hooking trailers, and sometimes it works over 50 km/h, sometimes itā€™s totally not workingā€¦
